Standard against Raw+: the sum that settles it
FxPro publishes two ways of paying for the same trade. Standard folds the cost into the quote: spreads from 1.2 pips, no commission. Raw+ strips the quote back to a floor of 0.0 pips and bills the cost separately, at $3.50 per lot per side. Neither is cheaper in the abstract, and a page that just recommends one is guessing at your trade size. One number decides it.
- Commission charged none
- Cost lives in the quote
- Each side $3.50 /lot
- Round trip $7.00 /lot
| One standard EUR/USD lot, opened and closed | Standard | Raw+ |
|---|---|---|
| Spread at each published floor | 1.2 pips ≈ $12.00 | 0.0 pips ≈ $0.00 |
| Commission, both sides | $0.00 | $7.00 |
| Round trip total | ≈ $12.00 | ≈ $7.00 |
cTrader runs the same raw model as Raw+: 0.0 pips plus $3.50 per lot per side. Two costs sit outside the sum. Swap is charged for carrying a position past the daily rollover, which on a UTC+8 clock falls in the small hours; an inactivity fee begins after six untouched months. Swap-free versions exist, and leverage reaches 1:200 by account and eligibility, according to FxPro.
Dollars on the balance, SGD leaving your bank
The balance is denominated in US dollars, and every figure above is a dollar figure. So a card or bank account held in Singapore dollars has to be converted, and that happens on your side: your bank picks the rate and adds any cross-border charge, neither of which belongs to FxPro. What FxPro publishes is the floor — $100 by card or bank wire, e‑wallets setting their own. Funds reach the FxPro Wallet first and move onto a trading account from there.
| Route in | Floor | Reaches the Wallet |
|---|---|---|
| Bank card | $100 | about 10 minutes |
| PayPal, Skrill or Neteller | wallet’s own → | same day |
| Wire from a bank | $100 | 3–5 business days |
And the way back out. Money leaves along the road it arrived on: a card deposit returns to that card, a wire to the account that sent it, and FxPro states it takes nothing either way. What lands in a Singapore account is a second conversion — dollars into SGD at your bank’s rate that day — so the credited amount rarely mirrors the debited one.
Where the trading day falls on a UTC+8 clock
Singapore keeps SGT, UTC+8, every week of the year — none of the dates that move belong to you. So the liquidity travels instead: your working day sits inside the Asian session, London opens in the middle of your afternoon, and the hours when London and New York are both live arrive after dinner.
| On the Singapore clock | SGT (UTC+8, unchanged in every season) |
|---|---|
| Asian session, the local working day | ~09:00–17:00 |
| London opens | ~15:00–16:00 |
| London and New York both live | ~21:00–01:00 |
| Trading week closes | Sat, early morning |
- Decide which window you are really trading. Evenings mean the London and New York overlap; daytime means the Asian session. Different jobs, not the same one earlier.
- Know where the rollover sits before carrying a position. Anything held past the daily rollover accrues swap, and on this clock that lands in the small hours — overnight by every definition.
- Use alerts instead of staying awake. Every terminal below runs on a phone, and an alert beats sitting up until 01:00.
Five terminals, four of them with a demo
All five attach from the same client portal, and the account travels between them. Pricing does not follow the choice — a Raw+ account costs the same in cTrader as in MT5. What differs is the screen, and how much must be installed before you see one. The mobile app carries the MT4 and MT5 side (Google Play 4.5★, 10M+ installs; App Store 4.4★, per store listings).
The terminal most traders learned on, running on desktop and phone alike.
The broader instrument list of the two MetaTrader builds.
Depth-of-market pricing, on the same raw model that Raw+ uses.
FxPro’s own browser terminal: one tab, no download, nothing to reinstall.
Your FxPro account driven from TradingView’s charting instead.
Demos funded with virtual money are available on four of the five; TradingView is the exception. Whichever you settle on, open positions live on the broker’s servers rather than your device — shutting a laptop at midnight closes your view of a trade, not the trade.
The documents that get a Singapore account through
Registration is a form and takes minutes. Verification is where a first attempt stalls, and it stalls for a dull reason nearly every time: a name or address on the upload does not match the one typed into the form. Two things are established — who you are, where you live — each with its own document.
- Register in FxPro Direct with an email address you still read. Document requests and resets land there.
- Prove identity: NRIC or passport. The national identity card is what most residents reach for; a passport does the same job. Photograph it flat and whole, corners included — a clipped edge is turned back more often than soft focus.
- Prove address: a bank statement or a utility bill. Recent, in your own name, showing the street address you entered at registration. Moved lately? Correct the profile first, upload afterwards.
- Choose the account type, then send the first $100. The top sheet carries the sum that decides Standard against Raw+.
One portal, two kinds of login
Everything that is not itself a trade happens in FxPro Direct: opening accounts, uploading documents, moving money in and back out, resetting passwords. It runs in a browser tab and inside the app, and the two show the same thing.
- Open FxPro Direct. Identical in either place, which makes the phone a complete backup — useful when the interesting hours begin after you leave the desk.
- Registered email address, then the password. In the app a one-time code can stand in for the password entirely, according to FxPro. Switch it on during a quiet afternoon, not on the evening you need speed.
- Forgotten it? Reset from the sign-in form. The link travels to your registered address. Confirm that mailbox reaches you on a weekday, not at 22:00 with a position open.
Two arrangements are worth understanding before a first deposit. Client money is kept in segregated accounts, apart from the firm’s own; and negative balance protection means a losing position cannot leave the account owing more than it held. Both as stated by FxPro.
